Clare Blackwood

Good day, citizens!

It's been a Shakespeare-filled year so far- I've performed at the Storefront Theatre for Star Wars: The Jedi Doth Return, with Red One Collective and Redheaded Coffeeshop Girl, performed as Beatrice in a drunken rendition of Much Ado About Nothing for Dauntless City Theatre, and all this summer I am a part of the Guerrilla Ruffian Squad, under the direction of Shakespeare in the Ruff, doing Shakespeare around the city. We just did a weekend intensive workshop with Ian Watson, Stratford's text coach- what an awesome and educational experience!

I am currently continuing my on-camera scene study with John Gordon (The Dirt Underneath Actors’ Space). In between classes, I am working on my delightfully morbid web series about the zombie apocalypse, to be filmed this summer, and a one-woman show about a London prostitute in jail for murdering a politician (apparently I gravitate towards super happy themes). At the end of August, I will be performing in the world premiere of KEEPER, a new two-woman play by Tanisha Taitt, at the Artscape Youngplace, directed by Ayesha Mansur. I'm so excited. I hope you are too.
